Founded in 2016 by Mario Lewis, Helenvale Centre of Hope has come a long way from its beginnings in a one-room classroom at Hillcrest Primary School.
When we first started out, our passion for helping children overcome poverty, achieve academic excellence, better coping abilities, and decision-making. We have served over 4000 children of Helenvale for our first 4 years.

Meet our Team
We have four full-time child & youth care workers, 1 Cleaner/ General Worker, and 1 Admin Volunteer, staff and volunteers are monitored to provide healthy role model relationships and wise counsel to the children that attend the Centre.
The volunteers enthusiastically participate in the Centre’s activities, serve as positive role models, and stay current with each of the children’s lives.
